Amanda Gentry works for the Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District where she coordinates projects on private lands and helps direct funding towards conservation practices especially as they relate to watershed stewardship.

Amanda Gentry has worked in Winona County for the past 12 years as a Resource Conservationist with the Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District.  She works closely with landowners to provide them with technical, educational, and financial assistance through conservation programs which provide soil and water quality benefits.  Amanda grew up on a small family farm outside of Sparta, WI where they milked 44 cows and raised heifers and steers.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls with a Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Conservation and minors in Biology, Hydrogeology, and Soils.
